For some night time reading, or just being able to move around freely, each bunk should have its own light nearby (4). Having a curtain for each bunk will come in handy to shield out the light in the room (or from a bunk mate) (5). And how about having shelving for each bunk for books, alarm clocks, retainers, etc. (6).
Some things to take note when it comes to safety: the deeper the steps to the top bunk the easier they are to climb (7) (8). Having a railing or handles can also help with the climb. A guard rail alongside the top bed will prevent any kids from rolling off (9). 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9
