PASSPORT: Before and After Minnesota Farmhouse Cabin Renovation and Makeover Tour

Here are some ways this one-dimensional cabin was turned into a farmhouse style cottage wonderland:

  • The pine tongue and groove walls and ceilings were sprayed with Benjamin Moore’s Simply White in satin
  • Thick ceiling beams were added, to create a more cottage feel and add depth to the flat ceilings
  • There was a complete overhaul of the kitchen with new marble countertops, a farmhouse sink, and a DIY marble subway tile backsplash

The entire project took two years – Proverbs 31 Girl.

PASSPORT: Book Lovers Loft in Japan. Home Tour.

It is hard to believe that the before and after photos are of the same space. How did they get the extra height?

Features of this space include:

  • The industrial style, with bare raw concrete walls
  • The floor to ceiling book shelves that acts as a divider, separating the living space and the bedroom
  • And the ever extending bar slash kitchen countertop. Which doubles as a communal gathering area.

PASSPORT: Copenhagen Apartment Tour

PASSPORT: Copenhagen Apartment Tour

For this PASSPORT post, we head over to Denmark for an apartment tour. Scandinavian design is quite popular. And again we see why. This apartment is styled with muted colors – using mostly neutral tones, while adding color and warmth through wooden features and plants.

Highlights from the space include:

  • Double height ceilings with beautiful decorative trim and ceiling medallions
  • A three meter tree in the living room
  • Beautiful two toned herringbone floors in the dining room
  • Rooms bathed in natural light coming through the large windows

PASSPORT: Rock and Roll Manhattan Loft Tour

PASSPORT: Rock and Roll Manhattan Loft Tour

This time on PASSPORT, we take a look into the downtown Manhattan loft of Coldplay’s guitarist, Jonny Buckland.

Elle Decor toured around the rooms which have 13 foot high ceilings and huge arched windows.

The space is made up of dark hues and heavily uses matte black. Heavy woods are also used a lot creating a timeless home design – and you can see this with the headboard, custom kitchen island, and the dining table.
